at Webster Hall. And it was bangin’. You know, in that “Quiet Is The New Loud” sort of way.

They’re just two Norwegian dudes, Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe, but they own the stage with hypnotizing harmonies. However we can’t overlook Erlend’s um, inventive dancing, which is on full display in their adorable “I’d Rather Dance With You” video. It won’t let me embed but I highly recommend watching.

Here’s a shaky fan vid for a taste (FF to 1:20):

Erlend’s really got the rhythm in him (those hips!), so it’s no surprise that dabbles in dance.  In 2003  he released a solo electronica album, Unrest, and also has a dance project called Whitest Boy Alive. He’s also collaborated with Röyksopp on songs including the excellent “Remind Me,” and the Kings of Convenience remix album, Versus, which is well worth a listen.

Hopefully next he puts out a dance DVD so I can learn his sweet moves.
