let’s do it in a graveyard

Did you guys know Ryan Gosling had a band called Dead Man’s Bones? He does it with his best buddy Zach Shields, and they’re all about pretending every day is Halloween. The recent vid for the song “Name in Stone” has guitarist and vocalist Gosling wearing all-black and is shot in a graveyard, with backing vocals (and snazzy dancing) by the L.A. Inner City Mass Choir and The Silverlake Conservatory of Music Children’s Choir.

Dead Man’s Bones will release an album later this year on Werewolf Heart Records, and until then you can check stuff out their myspace page. The album’s not gonna be out for a while, so if it’s just Ry Ry that you’re after, you’re better off renting The Notebook.

P.S. Does anyone else hear like, a whole lot of Arcade Fire in there?

You know, I have a new found respect/obsession for this man. He was already very pretty to look at, and now he’s playing music in a graveyard! Look forward to the album release, but may skip The Notebook, though…
